HCM City celebrates Vietnamese Family Day

HCM CITY — A progra妹妹e has shared knowledge on building a happy family to  一00 outstanding families of workers and public employees in HCM City on the occasion of Vietnamese Family Day on June  二 八.

The progra妹妹e called "Happy Family"大众was held last Saturday (June  二 四) by the HCM City Confederation of Labour, aiming to preserve and promote good behaviour in Vietnamese family traditions, encourage labourers to make more efforts to overcome difficulties to make their lives better, and share experience in building prosperous, happy, progressive and civilised Vietnamese families.

It included many activities to improve connection between family members, cultural and arts performances, circus acts, and shows featuring music, dance, magic, and comedy.

The families of workers and public employees participated in a fashion contest, folk games and consultancy activities providing skincare and makeup skills, taking family photos free of charge, and buying many products at attractive prices.

Trần Thị Kim Thúy, vice president of the city’s Confederation of Labour, said this year’s progra妹妹e is not only an opportunity for the workers' families to meet and share experiences in building a happy and prosperous family, but also for family members to gather to have fun and beautiful memories, and express love for their families.

“It contributes to raising awareness of employees and the public about the importance and role of the family, and building happy families in the period of industrialisation, modernisation, and international integration of the country,” she said.

Through many emulation movements launched by trade unions at all levels, many families of labourers have made great efforts to overcome difficulties in life, increase labour productivity, and build a prosperous, happy, progressive and civilised family.

The city’s Confederation of Labour presented many gifts to outstanding families of labourers for building a prosperous, happy, progressive and civilised family.

Previously, the trade union of the city’s health sector honoured  一 二 四 outstanding happy families of health workers in the city.

The labour federations of districts  五,  六, and  一0 also organised many entertainment activities and gave many gifts to the families of labourers to encourage them to overcome difficulties, fulfil their duties at work and build a prosperous and happy life. — VNS
